The Palace of Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, was built between 1929 and 1937 and was the first seat of the League of Nations (SDN) until 1946 when it is occupied by the United Nations (UN) in 1966 and become the European Headquarters UN (United Nations Office at Geneva- ONUG) 1, and the second most important after the UN headquarters in New York.

The building, located at Rua da Paz, occupies land that belonged to the Ariana Park in Geneva - and this even if Switzerland only joined the organization in 2002.
